So What Comes After “The Dark Knight Rises”?

Spoilers if you haven’t seen it yet.

Everyone has their own opinion on how great “The Dark Knight Rises” was and how it compared to ‘The Avengers” but one thing is for sure, Christopher Nolan left us wanting more. So what comes after this masterpiece of a movie? It’s been publicized that Nolan and Bale decided to end their “Batman” run with this trilogy, leaving huge shoes to fill for both the next actor taking on the role of the bat and the person directing it. But while DC, Warner Bros. and whoever else is involved with the next “Batman” film (which will have to tie in to the future “Justice League” movie that “The Man of Steel” will be setting up) iron out the details, Nolan left us with a hint of who could fill in as the caped crusader. I’ve never thought of Joseph Gordon-Levitt as the type to handle a full fledged super-hero role, and it seems like a standalone film with just “Robin” or the adult “Nightwing” as the main character would be a huge mistake, but if Nolan is involved I’d have to think twice about it… What do you think?

Below is what I imagine Gordon-Levitt would look like if he played the part.

Yeah, movies don’t always follow the comics 100%, figured Nightwing made more sense than Robin.

You know I was talking with this with my boyfriend and I had the same idea. I think it’d be awesome if Christopher Nolan made a Robin film with Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

An idea of a title I had was “Nightwing: The Beginning” and Joseph’s character, Robin, becomes the next superhero and has to deal with new villains or old ones.

They could have Poison Ivy or The Riddler or even The Joker come back. Sadly Health Ledger is not with us, rest in peace, and a person that could replace him could be James Franco.

    Hopefully Christopher Nolan reads this.

The only problem with this is, that Robin or Nightwing has to have had years of training from a young age, or a background in acrobatics.

I think Christopher Nolan and Bale should continue with the Batman movies. Plus I think Joseph Gordon Levitt would play an awesome Robin. Same actors from the dark knight franchise should continue to
be in the new ones if there we’re to be. An idea for joker would be Matthew Fox. He’s done awesome for Alex Cross psycohotic killer / hitman. Please I hope they continue the dark knight franchise with Christopher Nolan as the same director. Another idea bane (Tom Hardy) to return to the dark knight franchise
